Privacy Policy

New World Tweaks ("we", "us") is based in Missouri, United States. This policy explains what we collect when you use the New World Tweaks app, our website and our store, and what we do with it.
The short version
- We keep your email address, a scrambled form of your password, and which plan you have and until when. That's what makes your account work.
- We never see your card details. Payments are handled by Shopify and our subscription provider, Appstle.
- The app doesn't send us anything about your PC. Your hardware details, live stats and the tweaks you've applied stay on your computer.
- We don't sell your data, and there are no advertising trackers in the app.
What we collect
When you create an account
- Your email address.
- Your password - stored only as a salted, one-way hash (PBKDF2-SHA256). We can't see or recover it; if you forget it, you reset it.
- When you signed up and, roughly, when you last used the app.
When you buy a plan
- From Shopify: the order number, the email it was placed with, which plan you bought, and when. We use this to unlock your plan, renew it and end it. Payment details stay with Shopify and Appstle.
When you reset your password
- A single-use link that expires after one hour (24 hours if a member of our team creates it for you). We store only a scrambled form of the link.
When our team helps you
- If one of our admins changes your account - for example granting or removing a plan - we keep a record of what was changed and which admin did it.
What stays on your computer
The app keeps these in your Windows user folder, not on our servers:
- Which tweaks you've applied, and the original settings needed to undo them.
- Your settings, such as which apps FPS Boost may close.
- Error logs, which you can open from the app (Account → Logs) and choose to send us when asking for help.
- Your sign-in, encrypted with your Windows account.
The app reads your system information (processor, graphics card, memory and so on) and live usage to show them to you. It doesn't upload them.
Who else handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts our website, server and database. Like any web host, it processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the service. Our own server code doesn't store them.
- Shopify runs our store and checkout, and Appstle manages subscriptions. Their own privacy policies apply to what you give them.
- Resend sends any emails we send you, such as password reset links.
- GitHub hosts app downloads and updates. When you download the app or it checks for an update, GitHub sees a normal download request from your connection.
How long we keep it
We keep your account for as long as you have one. Order records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it; order records we're legally required to keep are retained without being linked to an account.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. Ask in our Discord or email createsnero@gmail.com. If you live in a state with its own privacy law, such as California, you may have additional rights - contact us and we'll help.
Children
New World Tweaks isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or our Discord.
